
FILIPPO SCOTTI
Filippo Scotti was born on September 22, 1999, in Gravedona, in the province of Como, to parents originally from Campania.
At the age of nine, he moved with his family to Naples. In 2010, he began exploring acting by attending a theater school and taking part in various amateur theater workshops. In 2017, he made his debut in the short film Il Marchese di Collino, directed by Patrizia Di Martino.
That same year, he appeared on television for the first time in the series 1994, later going on to roles in the Netflix series Luna Nera and the film Il Re Muore. His breakthrough leading role came in 2021 with Paolo Sorrentino’s The Hand of God (È Stata la Mano di Dio), in which he portrayed a young version of the director’s alter ego.
For this performance, he received the Marcello Mastroianni Award at the 78th Venice Film Festival. In 2022, he was nominated for Best Leading Actor at the David di Donatello Awards. In 2025, he stars in the feature films L’Orto Americano, directed by Pupi Avati, and Le Città di Pianura, directed by Francesco Sossai.
