CATRINEL MARLON

Catrinel Marlon was born on October 1, 1985, in Romania.
After beginning her career as an international model, she collaborated with some of the most prestigious fashion and beauty brands, quickly establishing herself in the industry.

After moving to Italy, she shifted her focus to acting, combining on-set experience with formal training in both Italy and the United States. This allowed her to work across a wide range of film and television productions, both in Italy and internationally.
Throughout her career, she has appeared in several notable projects, including La Gomera (The Whistlers), presented in competition at the Cannes Film Festival, Dom Hemingway directed by Richard Shepard, Youth by Paolo Sorrentino, and All the Money in the World directed by Ridley Scott, as well as numerous European productions.

In parallel with her acting career, Catrinel Marlon has developed a strong interest in directing and writing, increasingly focusing on work behind the camera. Among her most notable projects as a director is the short film Girasoli, which has been presented at several international film festivals and received critical acclaim. The film earned multiple awards, including five prizes at the Matera International Film Festival, establishing her as an emerging voice in contemporary auteur cinema.

Today, Catrinel Marlon continues to build her career across both acting and directing, standing out as a versatile artist able to move seamlessly between auteur cinema and international productions.
